This grant support is a developmental piece of work for the residents of Moneymore.\u00a0We want to empower the community to re-build a sense of pride in the Moneymore area and utilise the medium\u00a0of screen and\u00a0film to tell their stories.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The programme will include a short series of workshops with a local film-maker including the screening of his latest short film. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We have planned a 2-day programme of workshops provided by a local film-maker\/Drama facilitator and local community arts worker to help develop skills and material to expand the possibilities for this film. These workshops will comprise of talks, watching film, drama and storytelling workshops to evaluating the resources provided by the residents. We want the community to have as much involvement in the planning and direction of this film in all aspects of its journey. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During the 2-day programme we will explore the themes of community and what community means to the residents\u00a0of the Moneymore estate, a housing estate built in the 1980’s.
