{"id":3898,"date":"2019-12-17T14:49:23","date_gmt":"2019-12-17T14:49:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prod-creativeireland.zestydev.com\/?page_id=3898"},"modified":"2019-12-17T15:26:10","modified_gmt":"2019-12-17T15:26:10","slug":"helium-arts-creative-health-hub","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.creativeireland.gov.ie\/en\/partners\/helium-arts-creative-health-hub\/","title":{"rendered":"Helium Arts Creative Health Hub"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Helium provides\nchildren facing life-long medical conditions and disabilities with\nmultidisciplinary creative activities that support their psychosocial needs and\nwellbeing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supported by the Creative Ireland Programme, Helium\nArts have developed a new <em>Creative Health Hub&nbsp;<\/em>model which will bring their innovative,\nmultidisciplinary creative projects to more children and teenagers across\nIreland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\neach Creative Health Hub location, Helium\u2019s artist can deliver a continuous\nprogramme of activity connecting between hospitals, community and public\nsettings. The programme will support children and young people to let their\ncreativity free, and enable them to experience the many benefits that creative\nengagement can make to the mental health and wellbeing of children facing the\nsocial and emotional challenges of long-term illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through\ntheir life- changing \u201carts on prescription\u201d approach, Helium meet children in\nhospital who will then be referred to their workshop series in community &amp;\npublic settings.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Creative Health Hubs in Cork and Limerick were launched in January 2019. The hubs are taking place in partnership with Cork University Hospital and University Hospital Limerick alongside community and creative partners in both locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/helium.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"www.helium.ie (opens in a new tab)\">www.helium.ie<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
