Seachtain na nÓg – Early Years Day

Fingal Arts Office and the Irish Institute of Music and Song are hosting a week of free workshops and activities for children, young people and families with events suitable for all age groups from 0 to 18 being delivered.

Sunday the 12th of June will be Early Years Day, led by Rebecca Gilbert.

Sing To Your Baby
For babies 6 weeks to 3 years.
Maximum number of family groups: 10

This class helps babies sleep, bond and develop. Participants learn to sing to their little ones and enjoy the soothing and calming effects of music with great benefits for parents and babies. Using familiar songs, nursery rhymes and poems we help develop a repertoire of gorgeous songs families can enjoy for years to come and our small class sizes allow them to meet and make friends with other parents of new babies. The class has a strong focus on looking after Mums post-partum, discussing topics like sleep, birth experiences and feeding, and finishing each class with tea, cake and chats.

Let’s Sing Together
For babies/children up to age 4.
Maximum number of family groups: 20

Toddler and parent/guardian class to experience music, rhythm and singing together.

Pre-Instrumental Sessions x2
Ages 3-4 and 5-6

Maximum number of participants: 20

Our fun, friendly pre-instrumental classes give children a great head-start in musical learning. Kids learn the basic building blocks of music; rhythm, pitch, solfa.
