Members of the local community in Castletown Geoghegan will work with an Archaeologist and a Geophysicist to carry out some non-invasive research on a monument that is referred to in literature as 'the Warrior's Grave' and is associated with Conchobar Mac Nessa.

The group hope to discover what subsurface traces may be associated with this monument. They will be led in their endeavours by an experienced Geophysicist who will work under license to the National Monuments Service.  It is proposed to use ground-penetrating radar and other technologies to investigate the area around the monument.
