Kilkenny County Council will create a large-scale mural along the South East Greenway in Ferrybank. 

Spanning approximately 160 metres, the mural celebrates local heritage and sustainability, highlighting themes like climate awareness and community spirit.

Designed and painted by a local artist with input from local community groups, the mural is a must-see attraction on the Greenway. 

The mural will be available to view for free on the section of Greenway between Curraghmore and Ferrybank which will open to the public in July 2025. 

This project was funded by the Creative Ireland Scheme.

The mural design was agreed and designed through a public consultation process with the community.  Come and live the results, learn about the local floral, fauna and history of the area
