"Collective action is the antidote to despair." – Joan BaezIn an age of division and digital isolation, our project unites people through music, dance, and visual arts, transforming individual creativity into a collective celebration for the Galway Community Pride Parade.
Workshops & Facilitators
🎶 Drum-Making & Samba Rhythms- Yvette Picque (Teach Solais) – Leads workshops crafting percussion instruments from recycled materials.
- Gustavo (SambaWave) – Teaches Afro-Brazilian samba drumming, highlighting its roots in resistance and unity.
- Lapree Lala (Afro Dance) – Guides Afro and improvisational dance, encouraging joyful self-expression and confidence.
- Bernadette Divilly (Contemplative Dance) – Introduces slow-motion choreography, blending stillness, bilingual storytelling, and emotional depth.
Workshops integrate rhythm, movement, and rally cries in Gaeilge, English, and other community languages, fostering empowerment and visibility.
