Who is My Neighbour?
'Who is my Neighbour' is a travelling photography exhibition curated by Blue Drum for the festival of architecture “Open House Dublin”, 11–19 October 2025.
The exhibition features photographs by Lithuanian artist Darius Petrulis, in collaboration with the Svilara Cultural Station, Novi Sad, and the Council of Europe Faro Convention Network.
Local portraits span five geographic communities: Almaš (Novi Sad), Charlemont (Dublin), Gleis 21 (Vienna), Loughlinstown (Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown), and Šančiai (Kaunas). The exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of the Faro Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society.
Through portraits of neighbours across cities, photography captures residents' hopes for their place and their sense of belonging within it. In Dublin, in addition to the existing work, local photo sessions will be held with residents and people.
Creative Ireland dlr, is supporting the portraits that will be taken in collaboration with community members in Loughlinstown this autumn. If you live in the area and are interested in engaging with the artist, who will visit from 6 to 10 September, contact blue.drum@yahoo.com.
