The Patrick O’Keeffe Traditional Music Festival have organised a schools outreach initiative in Castleisland and the wider region (schools have been selected via direct invite), to foster cultural pride and artistic development among young people. 

This initiative actively seeks to remove barriers to cultural engagement for children from diverse backgrounds by bringing music directly to their schools. This project brings experienced traditional musicians and festival educators into primary and secondary school classrooms, offering interactive presentations, live demonstrations and hands-on workshops centered on the Sliabh Luachra music tradition; one of Ireland’s most distinctive and influential musical heritages.
