We have engaged Dr Cathy Fitzgerald of Haumae Ecoversity to deliver training in collaboration with the Roscommon Climate Action Team. 

Ecoliteracy for Inclusive Change: A Half-Day Learning Session

This training will be an opportunity for the Culture & Creativity Team to respond to a vital action in our Local Authority Climate Action Plan - mainstreaming climate action throughout the organisation and making it relevant in day-to-day operations. 

Transform Your Creative Work through Ecoliteracy for Thriving, Just Futures: A Half-Day Learning Session
Facilitated by eco-poet and environmental writer Grace Wells with Dr Cathy Fitzgerald

This training day will be offered to Creative Practitioners in the county to enhance their knowledge and skills in the field and provide the tools to incorporate EcoLiterate practices into their work.

Arising from this training we would propose to subsequently offer a number of bursaries to you as Creative Practitioners for Haumea Ecoversity Eco-literacy learning membership for 2026. Awarding of these bursaries will be on a competitive basis. Details of which will be provided on the day of training to those interested in pursuing that opportunity.
