The A–Z of How to be Creative in 2026

Creativity is not limited to studios, stages or special occasions. It lives in our homes, schools, communities and everyday moments. As we kick off 2026, creativity continues to play a vital role in how we connect, express ourselves and imagine the future together. Creative Ireland is committed to unlocking our collective creativity, improving our health and wellbeing, connecting with our communities, and exploring new opportunities.

We’ve put together a helpful A-Z of Creativity to help you to channel all that New Year enthusiasm into a creative practice, and spark ideas on how to bring your creative ambitions to life.

A — Attend

Creativity begins with showing up! Attend local events, exhibitions, rehearsals, talks, sports matches or community gatherings. Presence is a creative act that sustains cultural life and shared experience.
