Working with a choir master to create a space where ALL members of the community can come together in a relaxed and fun way to experience the magic of singing together

We want to help people to 'get out of the house' and 'get to know your neighbour' through singing!

Living in a very rural area in East County Galway with no other social outlet outside of sport (post office, pub and shop have all closed in recent years).

It was suggested by one of the community to start a choir as a way of bringing people together.

We want to give an opportunity for people to meet up for something fun and social and tap into the hidden musical talent (no matter what level!) of the people who live here. This plans to be an inclusive and open choir which also provides a way for people to do something positive, learn a new skill and improve their mental wellbeing through song and community

We have sought a quote from a choir master to provide 6 sessions over a 12 weeks - culminating in a recital as part of the celebrations of St Kerrill's day - a unique local celebration around our patron saint on the 13th of June.
