Discó an Lae aka Daytime Disco are pop up parties by Aoife McElwain on Sing Along Social that take place in nursing homes and care facilities in Connemara to facilitate engagement, movement, and joy, for residents and staff of these vital community care centres.

Using a playlist of uplifting pop music and familiar old favourites - ABBA meets Bill Hayley - paired with bright and colourful inflatable guitars and saxophones, colourful dress up glasses, silly hats, and soft feather boas, th aim for the Daytime Discos was to bring a bit of spontaneity and sparkle to environments that by their nature rely on routine.

• 28 April Áras Mhic Dara Community Nursing Unit, Carraroe
