Communities in Valentia, Ireland, and Heart's Content, Newfoundland, have highlighted the importance of preserving the rich social history of the Transatlantic Cable Project and its lasting impact on both places.

This project aims to collect the memories, stories, family traditions, and local lore connected to life around the Cable Stations. Many of these personal accounts have never been recorded and are at risk of being lost as generations pass.
