“After Pinocchio” is a comedy-drama musical theatre production. Set in contemporary Drogheda, this is an adaptation of Carlo Collodi’s “The Adventures of Pinocchio”. 

Having survived a challenging childhood, a boy in his late teens finds himself in trouble with the police. Running from his problems, he inadvertently finds sanctuary with a crew of fairground performers. In search of escape, he finds instead unlikely friendships, hard home truths, and unexpected inner resilience in a story of personal struggle and community coming together to provide hope and transformation.

A collaboration between The Little Duke Theatre and The Red Door Project, Drogheda, with the support of Droichead Arts Centre, where performances will take place in September, 2026.

This production is the culmination of a series of rehearsals and workshops facilitated by The Little Duke Theatre and features vibrant performances by participants in The Red Door Project, with original music by Joanne Kieran and a script by Brenda Gogan Harrington.
