Creative Sustainability Workshops – Graiguenamanagh Women’s Shed
Join us in Graiguenamanagh for a vibrant series of hands-on workshops celebrating creativity, sustainability, and community connection. Organised by the Graignamanagh Hall, this project invites participants to explore traditional and eco-friendly art practices using natural and recycled materials from our local environment.
From making inks and charcoal from natural resources, to learning the art of papermaking and fabric repurposing, each session is designed to inspire creativity while promoting environmental awareness and cultural heritage. Participants will gain practical skills, discover the history behind traditional crafts, and explore innovative ways to reduce waste through artistic expression.
This initiative is part of a wider effort to foster wellbeing, reduce social isolation, and encourage participation in the arts within our rural community. With a strong focus on accessibility, all activities are low-cost and inclusive, supporting local artists and strengthening community ties.
Together, we aim to highlight sustainable alternatives in the arts, raise awareness about biodiversity and local history, and build lasting connections through creativity.
