Local author and photographer Shelley Corcoran is  publishing a book entitled "Books and Palestine - A Perfect Pairing" During this project Shelley will visit local schools for book readings. Children will write cards and draw pictures which will be sent to children in Palestine.

These letter writing workshops mirror the narrative of the books story, which depicts an unlikely pair, with just one thing in common, becoming the best of friends. It may seem that the children of Longford have little in common with the children of Palestine but all children have wonderful imaginations which assist in their escape to a fantastical world, daily. Books will also be donated to each of the schools visited.
