"Capturing the Story of Bagenalstown" an intergenerational, community driven project that will use the personal stories from members of the local community to show what life was like in Bagenalstown over the past 70 years.

"Capturing the Story of Bagenalstown" revolves around collaboration of the young and older people of Bagenalstown and connecting the wider community to create media content. The content celebrates the culture and daily life in the town as it has changed over the past 70 years. It will allow the participants and the town as a whole to share their stories to a wider audience using online platforms. The project will also take a look at the streets and landmarks of the town, the local businesses that are and have been and the shared memories that people have.

The stories will centre around 3 main topics,

(i) Growing up in the town (ii) Education (iii) the streets, building and landmarks.

All stories will be recorded professionally to produce a range of media including a website,  podcasts, video material, walking tour pod casts, online e-book and paperback publication.

 "Capturing the Story of Bagenalstown" will establish collaboration between the generations, foster possible future projects in the community, equip people with the skills to create their own media projects and promote enterprises and tourism in the town on an online platform.
