Care Concerts (formerly Covid Care Concerts) was established in May 2020 by cellist Gerald Peregrine, in rapid response to the pandemic. The project delivered over 2,300 live musical performance in residential care homes, hospitals, day care centres and mental health settings, featuring a host of Ireland’s most well-known artists and provided employment to over 100 artists. Most of the project was funded by Creative Ireland, with additional support from Healthy Ireland, Age Friendly Ireland and other private and public funding bodies with the support of local Arts officers and Creative Ireland programme managers. Following on from our successful programme of concerts in South Dublin between 2020-2024, we are delighted to announce that we will facilitate 4 visits between August to November 2025 in South Dublin, in partnership with South Dublin Arts Office, featuring well known soloists on each visit.
