On May 21st, Castlebar Primary School will host a special evening event to mark World Day for Cultural Diversity. With 850 pupils from 46 countries, the school will celebrate its vibrant community through music, food, crafts, and cultural displays. Classrooms will host interactive demos, while the hall will showcase traditional dress and cuisine from the school’s five largest cultural groups.

In the lead-up, 150 children will take part in workshops with local artists from diverse backgrounds, creating artworks inspired by their heritage. A short film by Brendan Gilmartin will document school life in 2025, capturing the voices and stories of children from around the world. The event will also connect families with local clubs and organisations, strengthening community ties through creativity and inclusion.
