Since March of this year due to the impact of COVID 19, there has been a massive shift towards online engagement with our audiences. This is not only at the Hugh Lane Gallery, but also across other sectors in Dublin City Council including the Arts Office and Libraries.
Through this collaborative study led by the education department of the Hugh Lane Gallery, we aim to look specifically at digital programmes of DCC cultural engagement by capturing the diversity of what is being offered across the organisation; the audiences who are engaging, the positive aspects of online engagement as well as identifying barriers to participation and in what positive ways these could potentially be addressed.
The study will seek the opinions of a diversity of audiences to inform provision, evaluation and review of online programmes of cultural engagement across the organisation.
