Orange The World: UNiTE by 2030 to end gender-based violence. As a bright and optimistic colour, orange represents a future free from violence against women and girls.
As part of the 16 Days of Activism campaign, in partnership with Soroptimists Mullingar, we are inviting post-primary students in Westmeath to create a drawing or painting which explores the theme: Orange The World. Please use whatever materials you prefer, the more creative the better! The 16 Days of Activism is an international campaign that begins on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and concludes on December 10, Human Rights Day. This campaign aims to raise awareness about gender-based violence and mobilize individuals and organizations to take action against it.
This competition is open to all post-primary schools and youthreach centres in Westmeath.
Entries will be judged in two age categories:12-15 and 16-20.
Entries can be submitted digitally to arts@westmeathcoco.ie or posted to Westmeath Arts Office.
