Following a call out to schools on their website, Me and the Moon will facilitate animation workshops in primary and post primary schools (3rd class up to Transition Year) across Kerry. 

Workshops will cover story development, storyboarding, set design, prop design, music/sound design, stop-motion animation (found object, hand drawn, cut-out, Claymation) and utilising school tablets for editing in the “Stop Motion Studio” application. 

The workshops also offer Class Teachers the opportunity for cross-curricular learning; the subject matter of the animation could be informed by another project the students are working on at school or the audio for the animation could be a poem or song they’re learning in class.

After the workshops, an online gallery will be created for showcasing the animations and there will also be an in-person showcase at Kerry County Museum.
