Creating the Ensemble: A Day-Long Drama Workshop with Aaron Monaghan

Join us for an immersive drama workshop, "Creating the Ensemble," led by one of Ireland’s leading performers, Aaron Monaghan of Druid Theatre Company. This workshop is designed for amateur and community actors and directors to delve into the core principles of ensemble-based theatre practice.

Workshop Highlights:

• Morning Session: Focus on body and voice as ensemble instruments through warm-ups, movement exercises, and vocal explorations to develop shared physical and vocal awareness.
• Afternoon Session: Transition to scene work with rotating groups, exploring scripted excerpts and applying ensemble principles to traditional text. Emphasis on physical staging, character interplay, authentic acting and emotional connection.
• Reflective Session: Share insights, challenges, and discoveries, with professional guidance from Aaron on sustaining ensemble practice beyond the workshop.

This is a unique opportunity to engage with professional-level training in a welcoming, inclusive setting. Lunch will be provided.
