Do you want to learn about coding, robotics and exciting new technologies? Then, Mayo libraries is the place to be this summer. The libraries will provide an exciting range of workshops on how to use the latest creative technology.
The workshops will introduce children to activities they may not cover in school and will foster a sense of curiosity as well as wellbeing due to the open informal format of the workshops. Children are free to create without constraints and encouraged to run wild with their imagination. Children of all abilities are welcomed and supported and there are no language barriers in the activities. It is hoped that children are encouraged to explore the STEAM topics they learn about outside of school and that become more aware of digital media as a career option as they learn to animate and create art with technology. The Creative Technology Workshops are 2 hours long and classes to attend a library each day. Classes will be held in 4 libraries over 8 days (2 days at each library) to facilitate the 16 workshops. This will take place in August and September 2023.
