Drama Workshops based on the Glenveagh Evictions
The infamous Glenveagh evictions took place in April 1861.
In 1865 the third and final trial of Francis Bradley took place in Lifford Courthouse. An evictee himself, he stood accused of the murder of Adam Grierson, one of the stewards who performed the evictions. The project proposes to have two workshop days in the Spring where community actors, drawn from an open call, will work with a professional director and the script writer, Kieran Kelly. to develop the script and make it ready for public performance.
