Exit Does Theatre are hosting workshops with members of the community to develop theatre skills across the spectrum of roles required to produce high quality productions.
This project is an opportunity to lay the foundations for a larger project which would lead to the development of a script and design plan for a multifaceted community engaged theatre piece.
The objective of the project is to develop a new script by Carlo Gebler based on the Elephant Angel story about Denise Weston Austin who protected an Elephant at her home in Belfast during WW11. The play will be developed in partnership between Exit Does Theatre and The Glens Arts Centre.
The script will be developed by Carlo and will be based on approx thirteen scenes or Tableuax’s developed in collaboration with Frank Conway, Dee Armstrong and Paddy McEneaney.
The piece will be developed with the support of The North Leitrim Mens Group, North Leitrim Womens Centre and Cluannin Carnival Arts Collective.
