Album/ Book Launch and workshops 

Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde's groundbreaking book on the origins of sean-nós and its connection to the Gaelic harping tradition, and an accompanying album of songs will be launched by Paddy Glackin on 13th September 2025 with a programme of workshops, lecture and free concert.

The accompanying album is a collection of sean-nós and newly composed pieces reflecting some of the most ancient and evocative compositions in existence of Irish song. Doimnic has recreated the airs for some songs where they have been lost, and the album features his own prize-winning song, Dhá dTrian Catha an Misneach.

During the day, there will be three workshops:

Fiddle Workshop with Paddy Glackin 

Ceardlann ar Edward Bunting is cláirseoireacht le Siobhán Armstrong 

Workshop on Edward Bunting  and Harping with Siobhán Armstrong

Followed by a lecture with Paddy, Siobhán and Doimnic on how seán-nós and dance music stemmed from the old Gaelic harping tradition.
