Greta's Summer Foraging Walks
Join Greta, a herbalist and experienced forager for a nature filled morning. A gentle slow paced walk along the banks of the River Suir. We will embark on a mindful walk, pausing at various plants along the river bank and learn about the various native plants growing in the area including their medicinal uses and we will also explore their importance in Irish folklore.
We will explore how we can connect to these plants in small but powerful ways and understand the importance of plants both for biodiversity and our environment. This walk is for everyone with an interest in the world of plants and nature. It is a free event and one and all are welcome, children should be accompanied by an adult.
After the event, participants are welcome to share their own pearls of wisdom regarding herbal medicine and family cures, this information will be recorded and added to a digital library, online. with access for us all today and for future generations to come.
Participants will enjoy a cup of foraged herbal tea after the event.
