Griese Youth Theatre is celebrating 25 years of youth arts in Ballitore in July 2024!

To mark this remarkable milestone, they are planning a weekend of celebration from July 25-29, with a programme designed to bring the arts out onto the streets of Ballitore.

The weekend will commence with the launch of the Digital Archive, which is curated  by artist Cathal McGuire along with members of Griese Youth Theatre and will showcase the group's work from 1999-2024.  This evening will also include a programme of spoken word, drama monologues and music from original and past members, with videos projected onto an outdoor screen in the village.

Over the weekend there will be free dance workshops for all ages. The aim is to get people moving and mixing and trying something new, from Irish dancing, zumba, jazz,  to jive!

Saturday will feature a Panto-themed parade, and the celebrations finish on Sunday with a drop-in singing session with tea and cake in The Meeting House, followed by a concert with Aoife Kelly, Ronan O Snodaigh and Brian Hogan.
