Harness the Power of the Sun: DIY Solar-Powered AAA Battery Charger Workshop
Curious about solar power? Join us for a free hands-on workshop for adults (18+) at Ferrybank Men’s Shed. Using solar energy experimentation kits, you’ll learn how to build simple working solar circuits on a breadboard – a reusable base for testing and connecting electronic components – and build your own working solar-powered AAA battery charger. Best of all, you get to keep the kit so you can disassemble and reassemble the circuit and continue your learning journey in your own time and further explore the kit and instruction manual. No technical experience needed. All materials, including the solar energy experimentation kit, are provided and yours to keep! Delivered by Aileen Drohan from Walton Institute as part of ‘Shed the Light’, supported by Creative Ireland and Kilkenny County Council.
