We are delighted to continue Helium Arts' Creative Health Hub in dlr in 2025! Working in partnership with dlr Creative Communities and CYPSC dlr, Helium Arts will be offering free creative workshops for children and young people with lifelong physical health conditions living in the county! 

Helium Arts will run 2 x 6 week creative arts programmes and 1 x 3 day camp in dlr during the Summer holidays supporting the wellbeing and creative participation of children aged 8-12 years with lifelong physical health conditions. The workshops provide a wonderful opportunity for children with conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, heart conditions, spina bifida, juvenile arthritis, rare conditions and more to build confidence, make friends, and learn new skills.

All workshops are facilitated by professional artists, supported by friendly volunteers and on-site medical staff.

Activities include drawing, painting, puppetry, story-telling, sculpture, clay-modelling, film-making and more!

As part of the activity a local early stage career dlr artist will be offered an artist shadowing opportunity to work alongside and learn from Helium Arts expertise and creative practice.
