Idir Dá Linn
“Idir an Dá Linn / Meanwhile / Between the Two Lakes” is a collaborative project that aims to recreate the lake that once was at the centre of Glenbower Wood through an exhibition, events and a community keen.
Greywood Arts, in collaboration with Glenbower Wood & Lake Ltd. and artists Basil Al-Rawi, Mícheál Ó Catháin and Philip Ryan, are delighted to invite you to an incredibly special event Sunday 24 August 5pm.
The exhibition in the Coach House at Greywood Arts will be open from noon on Sunday. Beyond providing historical context, viewers are invited to enter an immersive, reflective environment to spend time with a soundscape of the lake remembered.
Community Keen / Caoineadh Pobail
Leaving Greywood at 5:00pm
A culminating public performance featuring two keens created in collaboration with the community: Caoineadh Idir an Dá Linn and Deisiúir. Join us in honouring the lake and the enduring presence of the River Dissour through voice and collective resonance as we walk the perimeter of the former lakebed in Glenbower Wood on Water Heritage Day.
Come along to walk and witness, or join in singing the keen. The Irish words will be available with phonetic pronunciation and the melody is easily learned through call and response.
