Inclusive Musical Exploration for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Instead of focusing on traditional "hearing" music, these workshops centre on the tactile and visual aspects of music, emphasising rhythm as a fundamental element that can be felt and seen. This initiative acknowledges that music is more than just sound; it's vibration, movement, and expression. The workshops are specifically designed to meet the unique needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, ensuring they have equal access to musical experiences. The inclusion of Lámh (a manual sign system) support throughout ensures a clear and accessible communication channel throughout each of the workshops, allowing the children to fully participate and express themselves.

These workshops are not just about teaching music; they're about fostering personal growth, empowerment, and inclusion.  By providing Deaf and Hard of Hearing children with access to meaningful musical experiences, these workshops will have a lasting positive impact on their lives.

This initiative will create a vibrant and accessible musical world where Deaf and Hard of Hearing children can thrive, express themselves, and discover their full potential.

Each workshop will last one hour.

Venues:  Buncrana Community Library (6th October) and Twin Towns Library (7th October)
