LSC Community Workshop Programme VIII
LSC Community Workshop Programme VIII
The LSC Community Workshop Programme is a vibrant initiative designed to support creativity and skill-building across Leitrim. By opening up the Centre’s technical resources and expertise, the programme empowers local artists and community members to explore new techniques, collaborate, and create meaningful work.
This year’s programme features four hands-on workshops tailored to participant interests: stone letter-cutting with Seamus Dunbar, welding with Noah Rose, and two weaving workshops led by Karl Logge and Marta Romani. Each workshop blends traditional craft with contemporary practice, offering participants a chance to learn, experiment and connect.
Workshops are designed to be inclusive and responsive. Tutors engage with participants beforehand to understand their ideas and goals, encouraging personal expression and creative exploration. From shaping stone and steel to weaving wool and stories, each session fosters confidence, collaboration, and a deeper connection to craft.
The programme celebrates creativity as a shared resource—building skills, relationships, and a stronger artistic community.
