Musical Bridges, will be delivered by the experienced Musicians on Call team. This project will promote health and well-being by improving the quality of life and cultural access for those who live and work in Healthcare Settings.

The project will consist of a set of visits between November and December 2023 to 2 HSE Community Nursing Units in Limerick. This will extend a recent series of visits to connect residents otherwise unable to access Music activities due to Health, Physical or Social circumstances. The intention is to bring direct access to high-quality live music to vulnerable older members of our communities living in Nursing Homes and their Carers, driven by equity of experience for all and a shared cultural and social experience.

Additionally, this project will continue to develop new skills within the growing regional team of professional musicians under supervision who may be new to working appropriately and safely in wards and at the bedside while gaining additional experience facilitating alongside experienced musicians in healthcare.
