Menapia is a screenwriting project that aims to develop eight writers to create professional screenplays for an original anthology series. This programme will enable the writers to be market ready and bridge the gap between training and employment.   

Menapia includes on-the-job training and mentorship through one-to-one sessions with industry experts. The writers will produce a minimum of eight market-ready scripts, outlines and synopsis to shape their existing screenplays into a cohesive television series. The writers will also engage in masterclasses, panel discussion & case studies that will include writers & creatives from across Ireland. At the end of phase 2 they will have realised the completion of their first TV screenplay and the goal of becoming professional screenplay writers. There will also be a public showcase and outcomes of their work.

This programme is an action of Wexford’s Culture and Creativity Strategy and aims to support the creative industries in the region by providing professional development opportunities and supporting the Film Wexford initiative.
