Mullingar Gathers is a series of events that celebrate the power of food and creativity to connect people across social and cultural differences, while nurturing a shared sense of place and community identity. Rooted in the principles of placemaking, these gatherings create spaces of exchange, belonging, and creative dialogue. 

There will be 3 community suppers between the months of April and October 2026. One of these suppers will take place in collaboration with Red Roots Farm and artist Mariia Golubieva, celebrating the summer solstice. Together we will run a full afternoon and evening programme of art workshops using the nature surrounding us to create sketches and cyanotypes, followed by a community supper and an immersive dance event. 

Alongside these suppers there will be a number of creative workshops, featuring edible flowers and herbs, vegetable printing and alternative drinks workshops. In collaboration with other artists, sustainability and food experts; Mariia Golubieva will demonstrate Pysanky (Ukrainian Egg Painting), Anna Browne at Big Sky Flowers will run a workshop making chutneys and Nadia Pickersgill will teach a fermented foods workshop.
