Collaborating members of the Roscommon Culture and Creativity Team from the Libraries and Local Authority Integration team will join forces on this project. Multicultural Myths and Legends will be a publication featuring stories from a variety of different cultures as represented in Co Roscommon. The gathering of the stories will bring together people of different heritages to share folklore from their own cultures. The stories will be printed as told by the participants and will be illustrated as is relevant to the culture it represents. The publication will showcase the commonalities, across cultures, of the importance of story telling and the tradition of passing these stories down through the generations. The publication will aim to preserving cultural identity for younger generations.
