The New Horizons Gala Concert 2026 is a Creative Youth project led by the Ceol na nÓg Youth Traditional Orchestra, culminating in a major public performance on 24 October 2026 at the Art Deco Hall, Ballymote. The project enables over 80 young musicians to collaborate with three leading traditional artists—Michael Rooney, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and Dónal O’Connor—on the creation and performance of three newly arranged works.
The concert will also feature a special collaboration with 20 young musicians from the Sligo Academy of Music Sinfonietta, directed by Niamh Crowley, expanding the artistic and educational impact across two youth ensembles.
