The Love Story of Lough Sheelin. An immersive and creative exhibition at Cavan County Museum. Come and step back in time to the 1600's, through the medium of art and music. 

This community-based project focuses on using art as a medium to tell the story of a local legend. The project will include 2 community workshops to enable everyone to shape the themes of the exhibition. There will also be a number of artist led school workshops so local children can create art around the legend to be included in the exhibit.  An artist’s mural, painting, a piece of harp music and videography of the castles and the lake will be part of this interactive and exciting depiction of a local legend.

This exhibition will be open to all to view at the Cavan County Museum from June 2026.
