This initiative aims to highlight the cultural and natural heritage of our native woodlands. It will primarily focus on the three main native woodland types occurring in Kerry; Oak Woodlands, Wet Woodlands, and Yew Woodlands. 

The main output of the initiative will be the development of a booklet which will comprise of  illustrations, poetry and short stories from members of the public. 

A call out to schools will be done prior to the summer holidays for submissions from students. The booklet will aim to have a positive impact on the views of our native woodlands and the challenges they face.
