The Patient Labyrinth stems from Rua Red's ‘Forecast’ project with the development of an immersive labyrinth installation at their gallery space this November–December 2025, a space of encounter, mystery, and ritual. The labyrinth, designed by award winning designer Morgana Machado Marques with artists Megan and Jessica Kennedy (Junk Ensemble), emerges from rich conversations and creative exchange with Oein De Bhardúin and Julie O’Leary O’Reilly both from the Traveller community. The audience will wander through the labyrinth, activating its chambers and currents, guided by the elements Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. These forces, deeply woven into the research at the heart of ‘Forecast’ speak to ancient practices of divination, storytelling, and healing that have long resonated in Traveller traditions.
