Croí na GaIllimhe will facilitate lunch and Social clubs over the late Summer and Autumn around storytelling, folklore heritage and song. These workshops will be facilitated by John Lillis – Podcaster and Storyteller and Áine Sheridan – Musician and Folklorist.

The lunch and Social club is a twice weekly club and is open to all.  The clubs offer more than a hot healthy meal in a welcoming environment, they are a place where older people socialise and connect with one another thus helping to reduce social isolation and loneliness that some older adults may experience.

This project will encourage participants to explore, reminisce and share past memories from both childhood and their life experiences.  Old stories and songs from around the county will be brought to life once again and be captured for future generations.
