Join us for Callan Open Doors 2025, an inclusive, community-driven festival that bridges the gap between art and the public. This unique event invites the community into art spaces, brings artists into community spaces, and showcases the arts in the public realm.

Festival Highlights:

Youth Creative Engagement Projects: With the support of Creative Ireland Kilkenny, this year's festival features two ambitious projects designed to engage and inspire young people.

• Pop-up Dance Workshops and Performance: Kilkenny-based choreographer Cindy Cummings has collaborated with 4th, 5th, and 6th class students from Bunscoil McAuley Rice to create a spectacular pop-up dance piece. This is a once-off performance on the school grounds and will feature 160 young people dancing together, rain or shine.

Experience the vibrant energy of Callan Open Doors 2025, as we celebrate creativity, community and the arts. 

Equipment needed: comfortable dancing clothes.

Project participants are being signed up through the schools. Both projects will have public facing events which will be advertised through the events brochure and through local and social media.
