Positive Ageing Week (PAW) will take place this year from 29th September to 3rd October and will celebrate the contribution and agency of older people in the community.

An initiative of Age Action, PAW 2025 will carry on the theme of Challenging Ageism- Reframing How We Think, Feel and Act towards aging and older persons.   

Offaly Libraries have a variety of evets planned to celebrate older patrons throughout the week and will also mark the United Nations International Day of Older Persons on 1st October for which the theme is “Fulfilling the Promises of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Older Persons: Across Generations”. 

Join us in celebrating aging as we take action to create a more inclusive, respectful, and intergenerational society. Details of events will be available from Offaly Libraries
