Poulastore was the winner of the 2024 Laois Arts Film Bursary award.

The Poulastore team intend to show the short film to local communities in Laois. Communities they believe may have a meaningful connection to the content of the film. Specifically, The Heath, Stradbally, Abbeyleix, and Mountmellick. John’s affinity to his landscape. Those who love where they live usually associate a sense of calm and feelings of being at home and, at times, their little piece of heaven as their sense of place.
With the obvious links to geological history informing the piece and the in-depth association with Poulastore Cave in the film, local historians and geologists/speleologists would be an obvious choice as additional speakers.
