Rocking & Bopping around Longford programme is a musical themed event taking place in libraries, nursing homes, residential healthcare facilities and other community settings.  The local groups will be consulted on musical genre with a selection of local musicians catering for all musical tastes. Local active age group will be invited to attend these events. Local musicians were selected by attendees based on popularity. These Age active groups requested traditional music, country, show band style and opera music mostly. 

This was a fantastic opportunity to invite older people to visit their local library who may not have been to a library since Covid restrictions, it was also great to be involved in bringing music sessions to the nursing homes, residential healthcare settings and other community groups.
