Sandyford Youth Band has been supported in 2025, to develop its programmes, and in particular; to develop the skills of its members, to support access, and to engage in local community events.

Three strands of activity have been supported. A one day workshop, in which guest tutors are invited in to teach instrument specific groups, with the aim to be inclusive and support equal growth, learning and enjoyment opportunities for all. The support will enable additional rehearsals for the period from July to December to prepare for 4 public performances, which include events such as Turning on of the Christmas Lights in Sandyford Village and Santa's arrival in Belarmine. Finally, to uphold the organisation's objectives of inclusiveness, it will offer tuition bursaries to families who may not be able to cover the costs of their children's instrumental tuition.
