Creative Ireland Carlow, Carlow County Councils Arts Service and Forward Steps Family Resource Centre, Tullow  are committed to creatively engaging with communities and supporting artists to engage creatively with communities. Through this commitment we encourage  quality, access and inclusivity. 

We are delighted to announce that Philip Cullen will be taking up the Sharing Our Spaces Artists Residency, working with Forward Steps Family Resource Centre, Tullow.

The focus of this residency will be to support the community participants who access Forward Steps Family Resource Centre to self-direct and lead out on a creative project/activity which will take the focus of “what it’s like to live in their community”

Residency Objectives

• Develop a collaborative community engaged practice which supports communities to decide what art activities they want to undertake.
• Develop and generate new audiences for the arts particularly Community Engaged/Socially Engaged arts
• Extend the appreciation and accessibility of arts and creativity
• Nurture the practice of the artist and support the development of Community Engaged/Socially Engaged arts in Carlow.
