Sionnan is a community engagement project at Dowra Court House Cavan focusing on visual art, and the fashion and textile design creative industry. 
The project is inspired by and represents the nearby Shannon Pot, one of the early sources of the River Shannon, and Sionnan, the River Goddess, who is said to rise from it. 

Together the community, along with Dowra Courthouse's resident creative industry fashion and textile designer Margaret Coyne, and a small team of artists will work on a dress to promote and commemorate this mythological and cultural history story from West Cavan located in the Cuilcagh Lakelands Geo Park. 

The final outcome- Sionnan's dress and Cloak, a piece of art, will be a symbol of creativity for the locality will be on permanent display at Dowra CourtHouse where visitors or tourists to the area can view and interact.  A date for launch is currently being planned for Autumn 2025.
